The Federalism Report
2013 Federalism Symposium: Historical Development & Modern Governance
We will hold a Federalism Symposium in Lexington, KY on June 27, 2013 sponsored by the School of Public Affairs at Morehead State Uniersity, the Institute for Federalism and Intergovernmental Relations (IFIR), and Federalism in Action - a project of State Budget Solutions. This event will feature academic presentations of research from scholars across the nation with expertise on federalism and intergovernmental relations. The presentations will explore themes of the historical development of federalism, theories of federalism, statesmanship and leadership under federalism, and modern governance in systems of federalism. Policy makers, elected officials, government officers, academic researchers, and students will be in attendance.
If you would like to submit an abstract, please email your proposal to m.hail@moreheadstate.edu. Proposals should include a title, abstract, and CV, and must be received by May 30.
The final program will be posted here by June 7, as well as registration information and directions.

The Federalism Report has entered a new era of service to the federalism and intergovernmental community with cooperative publication by the Center for the Study of Federalism at the Robert B. and Helen S. Meyner Center for the Study of State and Local Government at Lafayette College, Easton, Pennsylvania, and the Institute for Regional Analysis and Public Policy (IRAPP) at Morehead State University, Morehead, Kentucky. We welcome this partnership and look forward to a long-term relationship in publishing the Report. Our plan is to issue the Report twice a year: in January and June.
