Minor: Regional Analysis and Public Policy

Admission Requirements

The Regional Analysis and Public Policy (RAPP) minor is open to students in all programs. Acceptance into this program requires fifteen credit hours with a GPA above 2.50. A personal interview will also be required for admission to the RAPP minor.

The following specific general education requirements must be completed prior to enrolling in RAPP 202: Sociology 101 (Computer Enhanced) or Math 152 or Math ACT of 20 or higher (or permission of instructor).

Elective coursework
Students will complete nine hours of approved 300 or 400 level courses; courses at other levels (e.g., 200) will be considered for approval on a case-by-case basis.

Elective courses will be selected in consultation with the minor advisor in order to form a coherent program of study aimed at enhancing student analytic and problem solving capacities and skills. A few examples of thematic electives include: geospatial methods, international studies, women's studies, multidisciplinary approaches, policy studies, etc. Students must obtain approval of thematic electives from both their minor advisor and the IRAPP Dean. As per general university policy, courses (required or elective) in this minor may not be concurrently counted in other minors, majors, or areas of concentration.
